When you create an account we store your name, email address, and sign-in provider. When you ask a question we store its text and, unless you mark it anonymous, link it to your account. We also keep basic technical logs such as IP address and browser type to keep the service secure.
How we use it
We use your information to run the service: to show your questions and answers, to notify you when a scholar responds, and to prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal data.
Published questions
Questions that scholars answer are published publicly. Your name is shown only if you did not choose to ask anonymously. Please do not include personal details you would not want made public in the question itself.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, such as language.
Your choices
You can update or delete your account at any time from your profile, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal details; already published questions remain but are shown anonymously.
